Basic Leadership Skills Course (BLSC)
Effective Leadership is inspiring others to do their best. This definition illustrates that every person is a leader. The Basic Leadership Skills Course is designed with this leadership definition in mind.
The purpose of the course is to help supervisors with Direct Reports, and other leaders, more effectively inspire others to do their best.
Attendance:
Every person who has responsibility for supervising others should attend this course. Leaders who do not supervise could also benefit from attendance and should be chosen based on their assigned duties. Jobs requiring a lot of interaction with other people should be given priority over those with less interaction.
Course Content:
The Basic Leadership Skills Course consists of 12 modules of instruction. The 12 modules build on each other and are best delivered in one 40-hour session (five consecutive days of eight hours each).
