Values-Based Leadership
As a leader or follower, how do I help create an environment where people know the right thing is expected, they know what the right thing is, they know how to do the right thing, and they want to do the right thing?
ANSWER: Through Values-Based Leadership!
Values-based leadership is self-leadership. It is a skill, and skills such as self-leadership are fundamental to high performance. Self-leadership is epitomized by embracing values-based behaviors. These behaviors can be learned and enhanced through education, training, and habits.
Values-based leadership can happen anywhere-in the car, at work, with family, with friends. If you're somewhere where you're behaving, and as long as we're awake, we're behaving, you're in a position to demonstrate values-based leadership.
